Condition grades
How a pre-owned device looks. Cosmetic only — a grade describes marks and wear, not whether the device works.
AExcellent
One or two faint marks that take direct light and an angle to find. Nothing visible on the screen while the display is on, and nothing you would notice holding the device at arm's length.
B+Very good
Light scratching on the body or frame that you can see in ordinary light if you look for it. The screen is still clean — no mark you would notice with the display on.
BGood
Visible scratching on the body, and possibly a fine mark or two on the screen. You can see it when you look for it in ordinary light, but it does not distract while you are using the device.
B-Fair
Scratches, scuffing, or wear to the edges and corners that is visible without looking for it. The finish carries its history. Everything works — this is the lowest grade we sell, priced accordingly.
Stock types
What comes in the box. These describe packaging and history, not wear — a device in any of them is cosmetically unused, so none of them carries a condition grade.
NewSealed
A brand-new device in its sealed retail box, exactly as it left the manufacturer, with everything the manufacturer packed with it.

Open BoxAs new
A new, unused device whose retail box has been opened — typically a display unit or a cancelled order. Cosmetically as new, with the accessories listed on the product page.

HSOHandset Only
Handset Only. A new, unused device supplied without its retail box or accessories — the phone on its own. Cosmetically as new; you will need your own charger and cable.
